Report a bug or ask for help
For bugs, billing, and anything you can't figure out, email us with your Kerf version and what you were doing when it went wrong. You'll usually hear back within a business day.
There are three channels, depending on what you need. The fastest route is from inside Kerf: Help → Report a problem and the avatar menu both open the right channel with your app version and platform already filled in.

Feature work is prioritized from the public backlog on GitHub Discussions. Upvote an existing request or open a new one. Upvotes are the main input to what gets built next.
Use the private form rather than a public issue. We acknowledge reports within 72 hours and follow a 90-day coordinated disclosure window by default. The full policy is in SECURITY.md.
Pro licenses are tied to your SmoothGrain account, not to a device. Sign in on the new machine (avatar menu → Sign in) and Pro unlocks there. Note that Pro billing hasn't opened yet, so no licenses exist today. If sign-in doesn't unlock Pro, email support@smoothgrain.studio.
Email support@smoothgrain.studio within 14 days and we'll refund the purchase in full. Payments are handled by our merchant of record, Paddle, and approved refunds go back to your original payment method. Details are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
No analytics or telemetry inside the app itself. The auth flow and license check call our server (me.oravara.io); that's it. Your files stay on your machine.
The Kerf app source is private, but all bug reports and feature requests live on the public kerf-issues repo so you can see what's being worked on.
Email support@smoothgrain.studio. If the public tracker is a better fit, we'll point you there.
